Words cannot possibly capture the proposal experience that Irmina facilitated for my now-fiance and I during our time in Cape Town! We originally booked an exploration of the Cape Peninsula with Irmina via AirBnB. I decided that this would be the perfect setting for my proposal – so I reached out to Irmina and she was very quick to respond yes!

She then worked with me to secretly plan my proposal and to execute it – FLAWLESSLY!

We met via Zoom to discuss potential locations and timing of the proposal. She and I brainstormed a few locations. I told her I wanted to propose at sunset, and she explained how she usually ends her tours at Chapman’s Peak.

She showed me several pictures she had gathered at Chapman’s Peak throughout her experiences and showed me the spot that she thought would be appropriate. She also knew the terrain very well, and noted that one location might not be good for a person afraid of heights, so we developed backup plans if my fiance wasn’t comfortable adventuring down that far.

By the end of the Zoom call, we had decided the proposal would take place at sunset at Chapman’s Peak and I was confident that my dream proposal was planned – it was just a matter of time until the moment would arrive!

Once the big day came, the entire day was PERFECT!

We traveled along the Cape Peninsula, making stops at Muizenberg Beach, Boulder’s Beach, Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope, and ultimately Chapman’s Peak. All of these stops were based on our preferences – Irmina asked us our expectations at the beginning of the day, and we proceeded from there (Irmina and I secretly knowing that we’d end up at Chapman’s Peak for the proposal!).

Irmina’s kind nature and story-telling as we adventured along the Cape Peninsula made for very comfortable and natural conversation. Additionally, Irmina drove everywhere, taking the tension of driving in a new setting away from us.

Irmina followed behind us or sneaked ahead of us while we were walking and snapped priceless candids for us – pictures that we have hung up in our home!

She also provided wine and snacks for us at the sunset on Chapman’s Peak, took a time lapse of the proposal, and took pictures of the moment!

It also must be noted that my fiance and I are queer and in an age-gap relationship and Irmina was beyond accepting and kind to us – we felt so loved and celebrated and honestly felt like we have made a life-long friend.

The entire day was full of breathtaking moments and adventure, and the proposal moment itself was truly once in a lifetime and out of a fairytale; I am in tears reminiscing as I’m writing this. If you have any hesitations about this experience – take a chance and do it! It is a moment we will remember and cherish forever.

Irmina and Marius are fun and knowledgeable, and cater the experience for your abilities. We went up and down lesser traveled routes and didn't see another soul on a busy Sunday. It was great fun and I highly recommend them!

Irmina is a wonderful storyteller of the most spectacular places and a true lover of adventures in the wild nature of the Cape Town peninsula! Experience not to be missed, also to have a clearer idea of the place and the opportunities that may arise for new explorations into the wild!

An incredible, magnificent, and most valuable experience You will look at places that you can not see if it's on your own. Besides that, you're going to enjoy many exciting stories related to the spots of this journey. Words can not describe how I really liked this experience, felt so special.

This experience was truly exceptional! We have been all over the Cape point and saw wild seals, ostriches, baboons, and antelopes. We started with a some beautiful hidden spots - picturesque cliffs with sparkling ocean, and out-of-sight trails, which the rest of the cape point visitors simply don't find. Then we hiked across the hills and rocks surrounding the Cape point and had a small picnic during it. In the end we've been to the Cape of Good Hope followed by an amazing sunset. Marius is a very friendly, proficient guide and he really knows how to suit you. I'm pretty sure anyone will get along with him easily and have a fun time. He is not only leading the way but will also tell you the historical facts and anything you want to know about South Africa. It's a fun experience which won't leave you bored. I definitely recommend you take this journey as your first time at the Cape point - can't be compared to visiting the location on your own. 👆

Irmina is a very attentive guide to the specific requests of her hosts. It offers and optimizes tours that make sightseeing alive. In one day, I discovered a large part of Cape Town's peninsula. In addition to being a good guide, she is a great photographer to take a picture of us and capture unique moments.
